CAN WE EXPECT TO BE POSED DURING OUR SESSION?

Should you want that, absolutely! I am here for you, whatever your needs be. Some prefer to be told exactly what to do, and I've got you covered. Some prefer for things to be more natural, and I've got you covered, too. I am an expert at gauging the situation at hand and will NEVER leave you standing there awkwardly with no idea what to do (the absolute worst), but I will also allow the natural flow of conversation, fun + games, and sweet moments to take over when they arise. No matter what, I always strive to get at least a few photos of everyone looking at the camera, smiling. We like to call it the classic "Christmas Card/Grandma Shot" requirement, and then we can move on to other fun combinations!

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

After booking, and prior to your session, I will send over a detailed session guide that talks about this in great depth! I will work hand and hand with you, and make sure you have all the information needed to look and feel your best.

WHY DON’T YOU RELEASE ALL OF THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE?

Simply put, you don't want them. I often take hundreds (sometimes thousands) of photos in a single session, and because I am working so fast to capture *THE* moment, there will inevitably be a lot of bloopers; eyes closed, someone's talking, a bug flies in the frame, exact replicas, little Scotty isn't looking at the camera, etc. As a luxury service provider, I take my job as a curator very seriously and make sure you are receiving the best of the best. I can promise you that I give all photos where everyone is looking, or a special moment is happening.

DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?

Absolutely! The images you receive are far from what is on the back of our camera screens. As professionals, we spend countless hours making sure each and every image is color-matched for consistency and upholds the quality of our brand.

IS STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY AVAILABLE?

I offer studio photography on special occasions such as mini's, newborn sessions, etc.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

I know how hard it is to wait for the finished product. That being said, much of my "work" takes place after the shoot itself. Gallery delivery can be expected between 3.5 week mark give or take depending on what season we are in.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

Mini sessions include 10-15 high-resolution images, chosen by you from your viewing gallery. I never limit the amount of those given for full sessions, so you can expect anywhere from 50-100 images, depending on your group size, ages etc!

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY PHOTOSHOOT?

While the retainer for your session is non-refundable, I do make exceptions for inclement weather and outstanding circumstances. However, if we are under blizzard or thunderstorm conditions, we will absolutely reschedule. Michigan weather is absolutely unpredictable. I leave dates open strictly for this reason. If for any reason you cannot make your session you are able to transfer your deposit to a future session.

WHO DO YOU RECOMMEND I PRINT THROUGH?

Personally, I print through a local Michigan company Harrison Prints. MPix is my second choice. It is very important to use quality labs to print your photos. I 100% trust the products coming from both of these labs. In other words, what we see while editing, you will see when printed. This is ideal. Some print labs offer more saturation, warmth, contrast, and grain than others, so I can never guarantee the quality of a print purchased outside of these labs. It would be such a waste to have a gorgeous photos of your family hanging over the fireplace if everyone looks like oompa-loompas!

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?

I shoot as close to sunset as possible to utilize the soft, ideal light that accompanies it. In the winter, this can be oddly early. In the summer, we shoot later in the evenings as the days are longer. We understand that little ones can have early bedtimes but trust me! That golden light is everything! If late bedtimes do not work for your family, fall/winter will be a great season for you.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?

Michigan is a beautiful state. I love our fields, trails, beaches, and city life. I tend to shoot in the Genesee County area but do offer travel for special locations/events!
